I've been a paid Pollstar subscriber for several years and have been checking out the new site. While the visual design of the site is somewhat cleaner, functionally, there are still issues. Also, competition has gotten much more intense. Both songkick and tourfilter are more intuitive and easier to use.

Here are a few suggested improvements:

1) I am disappointed that ll my old account data was not migrated. Now I have to enter all my info again? This should have been done.

2) There has to be some easy way to add a bunch of artists to the notify list at once. Songkick has an add-on for itunes and winamp that automatically does it. In Tourfilter you can copy and paste a bunch of artists. One-by-one additions are unacceptable.

3) On the front page, I only care about what relates to me. I want to see either my artists, similar artists, and whatever is in my geographic area - not every random touring act.

4) Artist reviews need to be filterable immediately - either by autonotify artists or maybe genre. No one wants to see Madonna, if they're fans of Metallica and vice versa.

This is just a start. I wish you luck, but I don't see myself using your site that frequently until it's able to generate more relevant content painlessly.

I have been a Pollstar member for many years and was very disappointed that my info was not moved to the new Pollstar and I had to start all over.. It was hard to remember what was on my notify list. Wonder why some moved and some did not. I do like the new format but having to start over was a royal pain.

PLEASE do not screw up PollStarPro like you have done to PollStar. This has become ugly, hard to focus on because of the blue fonts, and seems to have deleted at least some of the most useful features.

Very confusing. The color contrasts kill me. I'm seeing an identity crisis. That fine line between cutting edge and charging more for advertising.

I want my old Pollstart back.

What's up with that? The old site was as dated as the clothes you're probably wearing. Tell me, still using DOS and dial-up? This new site takes a little getting used to, but it's a step in the right direction. Add some more features (social networking and a more intuitive search engine) and it'll be the one to copy.

To all you users who can't seem to figure out how to search for a particular city without seeing all cities listed with that name (like searching for London, UK and you get London, Ontario, London Ohio, etc.) - Pollstar has added an efficient filter for all searches - It's in the BIG BLACK BOX IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN! Dugh, people. READ! Yes, I'm talking to you MikeT25!

I checked out the Preamp site but like every other concert site out there it doesn't come remotely close to the quality of data supplied by Pollstar. There's something to be said for approaching data management from the industry rather than the fan's perspective. Read www.pollstar.com/about.aspx and you'll understand.

The number of sites which show event listings is growing and it really comes down to how good the data is and whats the source. The new look of pollstar seems to have the same or similar data but the navigation is very different.. The new site is a great step in the right direction, companies shouldn't keep the same exact site for too long, it becomes too dated.. Another website that allows you to find local events also just released, http://preamped.com its more concert focused and not as much news.. but very new and slick.

I can't remember whether i sent this via email, so here goes:

The link to ADD or REMOVE an artist to/from your notify list is lost if said artist currently has tour dates. I've tested this a few times:

artist NOT on my list is NOT on tour: link to ADD is there

artist NOT on my list IS on tour: link to ADD is NOT there

artist ON my list is NOT on tour: link to REMOVE is there

artist ON my list IS on tour: link to REMOVE is NOT there

Peculiar behavior, hopefully this can be worked out. It's mostly problematic when I want to add an artist to my list who happens to be on tour. I realize there is another avenue to do this, just wanted to report this bug since the easiest way to add an artist seems to fail much of the time.
