After seeing Plant with Allison, I don't think Plant could handle the vocals with Zep. He is getting old and is a legend. But I think he is not capable of hadling the high notes. So probably a good thing.

to heck with scheduling conflicts. This is a career conflict.

Plant has reinvented himself and is having a career revivial with alison krauss, being creative and getting the love for this album.

why the hell should he dump a new career for an old one? I'm glad to see him making this decision for art, not commerce. That his new art is doing commerce is only good for Plant.

Has anyone heard of scheduling conflicts? Plant has been touring and could not do the Zep reunion at the time. He is old and tired and needs some rest between tours. I have seen Robert at his best 75 and I saw him at his worst....let him rest as long as the three of them are alive there is always a chance they will tour sometime in the future.

Page and Plant toured together several years ago. They didn't call it Zep because John Paul Jones wasn't involved but unless you need to focus on the bass player while Page/Plant are on stage, that was the reunion tour..

bad news on pag'es birthday. roberts work with alison and the two previous solo efforts are the best work he's done since zep broke up. page with jones and jason could have been awesome even without a vocalist. zep at its core was a band that jammed so those two could have made and will hopefully make some more music.

Thank God. Without Robert Plant, there is no Led Zeppelin. Now if we can just get Daltrey and Townsend to stop calling themselves The Who.

How can anyone compare a Zep reunion with the thing Plant and Alison Krauss are doing? GO ON WITHOUT HIM!!! If Plant wants to be selfish, and just focus on his country/bluegrass/whatever, then *** him. The music alone is worth the tour. I would go see tour even if it was just instrumental.

I say tour without Plant and move on without him. If he'd rather play lame music with Allison Krauss so be it; he is entitled to play whatever music he wants to and good on him for at least continuing to play music. I think Zeppelin without him would still be great. Look at copy cat bands like Australian Pink Floyd and how impeccably they play the music of Floyd. Zeppelin without Plant is not the end of the world. I hope that the other members can move on without him and give the fans of the world the rare chance to hear their music live again!

man somehow I bet this means they're definitely touring without Plant. It probably means they'll be like Journey and find some kid on YouTube.

This could NOT be BETTER news. I'm excited to see the members of Zeppelin put this behind them. Plant had a great thing with Alison Krauss. I hope he keeps looking forward, not back.
