Of course George Michael is a genius songwriter. What's the doubt? You just have to listen to his records. And if you don't like anything in there from Faith, Father Figure, Freedom to Praying for time, Patience or at least 1 song from Older...it's because you don't like music.

Plus, the guy has the best voice in the industry hands down! We've seen him live at London's Wembley Stadium in June 2007 and later in New York's MSG....effortless flawless singing start to finish for 2h30 hours both times. We think some people, many people, specially men, have a problem with him being gay. Sissies!

George Michael *IS* a songwriting genius, even before Faith. He wrote, arranged and produced "Careless Whisper" before he was even 18.

U.S. audiences don't get to hear his stunning pieces post-1991, but they're even more mature and richly-crafted, and they get a very heavy workout on radio worldwide. He knows how to write a pop hook like no other.

George has two problems facing him, though: 1) American audiences will always keep him suspended in time with Faith and Wham!, and 2) they can't get past the arrests and his sexual orientation. If they could, they'd discover a treasure trove of music. I'm with Alan McGee on this one.
