Elbow, Forever The Sickest Kids, and Mongrel kick off the week in tour dates!

A December update for Forever The Sickest Kids was the first thing we saw when we opened our doors today. Lining up clubs for the first week of next month, look for the band playing Syracuse, New York, at The Westcott on the 1st; Cleveland, Ohio, at the Grog Shop on the 4th; Indianapolis, Indiana, at the The Emerson Theater on the 5th and Louisville, Kentucky, at The Brewery Thunderdome on the 6th.

Elbow muscles in a new United Kingdom tour for March 2009. New stops put the band in Bournemouth on the 2nd at Solent Hall; Sheffield on the 3rd at Carling Academy Sheffield; Blackpool on the 7th at Empress Ballroom and Newport on the 12th at Newport Centre.

Mongrel also adds new February dates for the United Kingdom. The band's itinerary now includes Norwich on the 1st at the Waterfront; Bristol on the 3rd at Bristol Fleece; Glasgow on the 6th at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut and London on the 18th at Scala.

During the first couple of hours of biz we went through each other's trick-or-treat bags while updating the schedules for Mercury Rev, Magic Slim & The Teardrops, Reverb Brothers, Sebastien Tellier, Tab Benoit, Julio Iglesias, John Bunzow and Bonerama.

It's shaping up to be a great week for collecting tour dates! Don't miss your Midday Update, posting around 12 noon (PST) on Pollstar.com!
