The Story So Far

10:30 AM Wednesday 10/29/08 |   |

Your first update of the day is a veritable potpourri of live entertainment as we proudly present new dates for Third Day, Johnny Mathis, Tom Morello: The Nightwatchman and "Dancing On Ice!"

What can you say about the "Dancing On Ice" spectacular that plays the U.K. in April except that the show offers plenty of dancing and plenty of ice? New dates include April 2 - 5 in Sheffield at the Sheffield Arena, April 10 - 13 in London at Wembley Arena, April 16 - 19 in Manchester at Manchester Evening News Arena, April 21 - 22 in Newcastle upon Tyne at Metro Radio Arena and April 23 - 26 in Birmingham at the NIA.

Johnny Mathis continues to breathe fresh air into the Great American Songbook. New dates for the former track star include December 13 in Temecula, California, at Pechanga Resort & Casino and March 13 & 14 in Atlantic City at the Tropicana Casino & Resort.

We have a couple of new listings for Tom Morello: The Nightwatchman - November 22 in Chicago at the Vic Theatre and December 12 in Anaheim at House Of Blues.

And Third Day updates this morning with a couple of 2009 engagements - May 30 in Trnava, Slovakia, at Trinity Square, and September 12 in Orlando at Universal Studios.

During the first 90 minutes of biz we also updated the schedules for This Beautiful Republic, Mike Relm, Little Joy, Faster Pussycat, Brighton, MA. and Failure To Excel.

That's how Hump Day is shaping up so far. Of course, our 5,291 researchers are hard at work prepping all the data that has landed on our loading dock within the past few hours, and we'll have a new report in your Midday Update. That should post sometime around 12 noon (PDT) on Pollstar.com!
