The Story So Far

10:01 AM Thursday 10/23/08 |   |

Oh, it's a beautiful morning! And we owe it all to new London gigs for Eric Clapton, Aussie shows for Pink, a one-off for Jane's Addiction and 2009 shows for Confederate Railroad!

What better way to kick off the morning but with news of Eric Clapton's multi-night spring 20009 stand at London's Royal Albert Hall. The stretch is May 16 - 17, 19 - 20 and 22 - 23. EC also adds a Dublin gig for May 11 at the O2, Liverpool on May 13 at Echo Arnea and Manchester on May 14 at the Evening News Arena.

Yes, it's a one-off for a re-constituted Jane's Addiction, but you better act fast. That's cuz showtime is tonight at La Cita in Los Angeles.

Pink travels to Australia next May. Right now the schedule shows the lady appearing in Perth at the Burswood Dome on May 22, Hindmarsh at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on May 26 & 27, Melbourne at the Rod Laver Arena on May 30 & 31, Newcastle at the Entertainment Centre on June 3, Haymarket at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on June 6 & 7 and Boondall at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on June 12 & 13.

And we wrap up the first data update of the day with new 2009 listings for Confederate Railroad - February 6 in Everglades City, Florida, at the Seafood Festival, February 21 in Greensboro, North Carolina, at Arizona Pete's, March 28 in Tyler, Texas (venue TBA), and July 11 in Walker, Minnesota, at Northern Lights Casino.

During the first couple of hours of biz we also updated the schedules for Great American Taxi, Girl Talk, Face To Face, Crowded House, B.J. Thomas, Ill Nino, OTEP, Sparky's Flaw, Saves The Day and The Breakfast.

But all of that was accomplished on only one cup of coffee. Just wait until we're really wired on all the caffeine energy drinks our corporate masters make us guzzle every waking minute while on the company clock. In other words, we'll have more fresh concert data coming up in your Midday Update, posting around 12 noon (PDT) on Pollstar.com!
