The Story So Far

10:01 AM Tuesday 10/21/08 |   |

What's new? How about Metallica in Europe, Garrison Starr in clubs, Alice Peacock in 2009 and and Jaydee Bixby in the Great White North?

Garrison Starr updates this morning with new club dates for November and December. On November 22 Ms. Starr appears at the The Khyber in Philadelphia. November 23 lists her appearing in Vienna, Virginia, at Jammin' Java. December 7 brings her to Charlotte, North Carolina, for a gig at Evening Muse, and the last new date we have for her is December 18 in Pittsburgh at Club Café.

Metallica keeps booking those 2009 Euro / U.K. dates. New on the schedule is February 25 in Nottingham at Trent FM Arena, March 2 in London at O2 Arena, March 26 in Glasgow at the S.E.C.C. and March 30 in Rotterdam at Ahoy' Rotterdam. The band also adds a slew of May appearances in Germany including Munich on May 6 at Olympiahalle, Frankfurt on May 11 at Festhalle - Messe Frankfurt and Oberhausen on May 16 at Kopi Arena. Other newly-added cities in the U.K. and Europe include Manchester, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Cologne and Zurich.

Canadian Idol runner-up Jaydee Bixby adds November shows in British Columbia, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Details include November 16 in Kelowna, British Columbia, at Community Theatre, November 24 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, at Playhouse Theatre, November 26 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, at Halifax Grammar School and November 28 in Moncton, New Brunswick, at Empress Theatre.

And singer / songwriter Alice Peacock adds a few 2009 shows to the ol' routing sheet - February 26 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at Passim Folk Music & Cultural Center, February 27 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, at Dolphin Striker and March 24 in Decatur, Georgia, at Eddie's Attic.

During the first 90 minutes of biz we also updated the schedules for Beverley Mahood, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Harry Manx, Matisyahu, Serena Ryder, The Coast, Nick Gilder, Young Coyotes, Zen Tricksters and The Nields.

That's what we have so far on this fine Titillating Tuesday morn. Of course, our researchers are vetting, bagging, racking and stacking new dates even as you read this, and it all comes together in your Midday Update. Look for it around 12 noon (PDT) on Pollstar.com!
