The Story So Far

10:01 AM Friday 9/19/08 |   |

So far today we have Florida dates for Of Montreal, November shows for Vic Chesnutt, Canada shows for Lucinda Williams and U.S. additions for Matthew Sweet.

Florida is the state for Of Montreal as the band adds five gigs in the Sunshine State for December. Look for the band in Tallahassee on December 4 at The Moon, Gainesville on December 5 at The Venue, Fort Lauderdale on December 6 at Revolution, Tampa on December 8 at The Ritz and Lake Buena Vista on December 9 at House Of Blues.

Lucinda Williams adds a few Canada appearances - St. Albert, Alberta, on November 9 at Arden Theatre, Calgary, Alberta, on November 10 at Jack Singer Concert Hall and Vancouver on November 12 at Vogue Theatre. Ms. Williams also adds a two-nighter in Seattle - November 13 & 14 at Showbox At The Market.

Vic Chesnutt fills up his November calendar with shows in the western states. A sampling of the data shows the artist playing Dallas at Club DaDa on November 1, Tucson on November 7 at Club Congress, Los Angeles on November 10 at Echoplex and Boise on November 17 at Neurolux. Other recently added cities include Denver, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego and San Francisco.

And Matthew Sweet updates with new listings for Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. Stops include November 1 in Covington, Kentucky, at Madison Theater, November 5 in Baltimore at The 8X10, November 8 in Athens, Georgia, at 40 Watt Club and Nashville on November 9 at 3rd & Lindsley.

During the first 90 minutes of biz we also updated the schedules for Rhett Miller, Shawn Mullins, Ronnie Milsap, They Might Be Giants, Madison Drive, Dar Williams and Kill Whitney Dead.

But that's just a taste of all the good things yet to come on this fine Friday. Don't miss your Midday Update, scheduled to post sometime around 12 noon (Fresno Daylight Time).
