03:05 AM Thursday 9/11/08 | |

Canadian quintet Stars has announced details for a much anticipated tour of North America in support of new EP Sad Robots.

The band kicks off the run September 17 at Pearl Street in Northampton, Mass., and will drop in on clubs and theatres scattered across the U.S. and Canada through the end of November.

Highlights include stops at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, R.I. (September 18), Terminal 5 in New York City (September 20), Vic Theatre in Chicago (September 24), Austin City Limits Music Festival in the city's Zilker Park (September 28), The Avalon in Los Angeles (October 1), The Fillmore in San Francisco (October 6), Showbox at the Market in Seattle (October 9), The Manhattan in Moncton, New Brunswick (October 30), Club One in Saint John's, Newfoundland (November 3), and Metropolis in Montreal (November 28).

Stars welcome Ireland's Bell X1 as support for East Coast and Midwest U.S. dates, Montreal's Think About Life on the West Coast and St. John's-based Hey! Rosetta on Canadian Maritime dates.

Robots is available exclusively through SadRobots.ca and Arts-Crafts.ca/stars, with a free, all new live version of the track "Going, Going, Gone" - a fan favorite from Stars' first album Nightsongs - also available on both sites.
