The Story So Far

10:01 AM Friday 8/22/08 |   |

An interesting collection of schedules greeted us upon arriving at the Pollstar.com campus this morning including a club tour for Murs, European dates for Popa Chubby, Australian shows for Howe Gelb and a couple of new gigs for OneRepublic.

Let's start with Murs. The west coast rapper has planned a very extensive club tour for after the ""Rock The Bells" tour ends. Dates include October 7 in San Francisco at The Independent, October 12 in Missoula at The Other Side, October 17 in Minneapolis at 7th Street Entry, October 29 in NYC at Bowery Ballroom and November 11 in Miami. Other stops include Seattle, Omaha, Sioux Falls, Boston, Columbus, Atlanta, Cleveland and Reno.

Popa Chubby updates with new dates for The Netherlands. Gigs include the Podium in Hardenberg on November 30, Kelder in Amersfoort on December 1, Effenaar in Eindhoven on December 2 and Boerderij in Zoetermeer on December 3.

Singer / songwriter Howe Gelb plays New Zealand and Australia during late October / early November. Details include October 23 in Dundedin, New Zealand at Sammie's, October 24 in Wellington, New Zealand at San Francisco Bathhouse and October 25 in Auckland, New Zealand at the 4:20. Aussie dates include Brisbane on October 28 at The Troubadour and two nights in Northcote - November 1 & 2 at the Northcote Social Club.

Finally, OneRepublic adds a couple of new listings - October 23 in Fairfax, Virginia at George Mason University, and November 6 in Denver at the Fillmore.

During the first 90 minutes of biz we also updated the schedules for Ra Ra Riot, Sean Carney Band, Persuaders, Stetsasonic, Walls Of Jericho, Ozzy Osbourne and Madonna.

But that's just a taste of what's in store for today as we fire up the ol' concert date search engine for another romp in the wonderful world of touring data. Don't miss your Midday Update, coming up around 12 noon (PDT), from Pollstar.com!
