Oz Great Escape Canceled

Great Escape, set for October 4-5 outside Sydney, was canceled after "unexpectedly low ticket sales."
Tickets at $180 went on sale in June. For its first two years, Great Escape was held over the Easter weekend.
This year, promoter MI5 moved it to avoid competition from the East Coast Blues & Roots Festival and V Fest. On the bill were Black Francis, Conor Oberst, Joan As Police Woman, We Are Scientists, The Futureheads, Supergrass, Ladytron and The New Pornographers.
