The Closing Bell

05:01 PM Tuesday 8/5/08 |   |

We have new dates for Relient K, Barry Manilow, Anberlin and Raul Malo. We have links to items about Tim McGraw fighting copyright infringement suit, The Police trying not to fight, Gnarls Barkley trying to be somewhat normal, Lost Highway's newest member, songs banned by the BBC and wireless music for rich folks. Hmmmm ... Looks like we have a pretty good last update of the day!

Overnight Sensation …

The following two items scheduled to post within the next 16 hours were written by our writers while they were naked. Paints a rather unsettling mental image, doesn't it?

Why Be Normal? - Singer/songwriter Ben Folds is headed out in support of his long-awaited third solo release, Way to Normal.

This Tour Will NOT Self-Destruct - Iconic comedian Robin Williams has announced he'll hit the road this fall for the first time in six years.

Link-O-Rama …

Relient K update today with a few extra October shows - October 12 in Ridgefield, Connecticut at Ridgefield Playhouse, October 13 in Allentown, Pennsylvania at Crocodile Rock Café and October 15 in Philadelphia at Electric Factory.

Finally, we have three new Raul Malo listings - December 17 in Houston at House Of Blues, December 18 in Dallas at House Of Blues and April 2 in Ridgefield, Connecticut at House Of Ridgefield Playhouse.

During the day we also updated the schedules for Jessica Simpson, Tony Furtado, Richard Shindell, Girlyman, Garnet Rogers, Cheryl Wheeler, Micah P. Hinson, Madonna, Margaret Cho, Spiritualized, Jake Owen, Robin Williams, Ben Folds, Marianne Dissard, Phil Lesh & Friends, Senses Fail, Edwin McCain Band, plus thousands and thousands of bands and artists, big and small. Just goes to show you that being anal retentive isn't all that bad.

That wraps up our Tuesday effort at making the world a better place through tour dates. Hope we were of service to you and that you'll drop by again tomorrow. Adios!
