The MuchMusic Video Awards, known for its party atmosphere as much as its trophies, may have been dampened by torrential rain but still had some artists celebrating.
Hedley, featuring former "Canadian Idol" contestant Jacob Hoggard, took home top honors with best video and best director for their song "For The Nights I Can't Remember" at the Toronto shindig June 15th. Rihanna won most watched video on MuchMusic.com for "Umbrella" and best international video for "Don't Stop the Music."
Belly got best rap video, Wintersleep won best independent video and Linkin Park won best international group video. Avril Lavigne was giving the People's Choice award while Simple Plan was voted favorite Canadian group.
New Kids on the Block, Rihanna, Simple Plan, Gir4licious and JabbaWockeeZ performed during the televised event.
