The Story So Far

10:01 AM Thursday 5/22/08 |   |

New listings for Tom Waits, The Fratellis, Mickey Hart Band and Westlife will tantalize and amaze you on this fine Thursday morning!

Tom Waits is ready for Europe, but the big question is whether Europe is ready for Mr. Waits. New dates include three nights in Milan (July 17 - 19), three nights in Dublin (July 30 - August 1) and two-nighters in Barcelona (July 14 - 15), Prague (July 21 - 22), Paris (July 24 - 25) and Edinburgh (July 27 - 28). There's also a one-night stand in San Sebastian (July 12).

The Fratellis slot new dates for the U.S. and Australia. The Glasgow, Scotland, band plays clubs and halls in the U.S. with dates including June 11 (Boston), June 15 (Hollywood) and June 19 (Seattle). Down Under shows include July 31 (Perth), August 5 (Melbourne) and August 6 (Sydney).

Legendary Grateful Dead co-drummer Mickey Hart takes his band on the road this summer. New dates include July 2 in Newport, KY; July 8 in Northampton, MA; July 22 in Indianapolis, IN; and July 23 in Omaha, NE.

Unforeseen circumstances, like a flu bug, forced Brit band Westlife to recently postpone a few United Kingdom dates. However, those shows have been rescheduled. Birmingham is now on June 3; Manchester on June 4; Nottingham on June 24 and Cardiff on June 25.

During the first 90 minutes of biz we munched on homemade brownies washed down with Mogen David's finest 20/20 vintage while processing new concert information for Langhorne Slim, Grant Lee Phillips, Ian Brown, Eef Barzelay, GZA, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly., Bruce Hornsby, Apollo Sunshine, Cherish The Ladies and We Are Scientists.

And that's what's up so far this morning. Catch more fresh concert data in your Midday Update, coming up around 12 noon (PDT), from Pollstar.com!
