The Story So Far

10:01 AM Tuesday 2/26/08 |   |

James Blunt, Rick Derringer, Edgar Winter Band and Westlife kick off the Tuesday tour data explosion in your first update of the day!

James Blunt slots a new set of dates today with an October United Kingdom tour featuring stops in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Birmingham, Nottingham, London, Sheffield and Cardiff. Mr. Blunt also plays Japan, China and South Korea in April.

Edgar Winter Band updates today with a new stop in Agoura Hills, CA, set for April 18 followed by a show in San Juan Capistrano the next night. Edgar and the band also play Calumet, Michigan on August 6.

If you were rockin' in the '70s then you already know Rick Derringer and Edgar Winter used to play on each other's albums. That's Edgar's wail backing Derringer on "Rock & Roll Hootchi Koo, while Derringer's guitar playing shows up all over Winter's They Only Come Out At Night album. So it's kind of a coincidence that both artists have new show listings today. Rick's new listings include stops in Dallas, Calgary and Exeter (California).

And we have new dates for Westlife! Look for the boys in New Zealand in May as well as a return engagement in Belfast on May 27.

During the first 90 minutes of translating concert-speak into English we also updated the schedules for Trampled By Turtles, Town Mountain, The Slackers, Martin Zellar, Katt Williams, El-P, Eels, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Amy Grant and Ace Frehley.

But that's just a glimmer of things to come! Don't miss your Midday Update, scheduled for around 12 noon (PST), from Pollstar.com!
