The Story So Far

10:01 AM Monday 1/14/08 | |

Eagles play O2, War goes to Hawaii and "GIGANTOUR" continues its quest for world domination. This is your first update of the week from Pollstar.com!

Who will save the world from predictable stage antics and lackluster guitar solos? It's "GIGANTOUR" to the rescue! This year Megadeth calls on friends In Flames, Children Of Bodom, Job For A Cowboy and High On Fire to help bring righteous guitar shredding to the masses. It all starts in Helsinki on February 4. After terrorizing Europe and the United Kingdom expect Dave Mustaine and company to kick off the North American portion of the tour on April 12 in Denver.

Could this be the start of something, well, bigger? Eagles have four March dates for London's O2 Arena; War goes to Hawaii at the end of February; Tokyo Police Club slots San Francisco in March and Ani DiFranco adds Athens, Ohio, for March.

During the first 90 minutes of stoking the ol' concert search engine we also updated the schedules for Antje Duvekot, Alpha Blondy, Bobby Lee Rodgers & The Codetalkers, DJ Shadow, Headnodic, Garnet Rogers, Fishbone, Headspace, Cheryl Wheeler, Bruce Daigrepont, KRS-ONE, Roy Clark, Outformation, Rev. Billy C. Wirtz and Kid Beyond.

But we're just warming up! More dates and concert info coming up in your Midday Update, scheduled for around 12 noon (PST), from Pollstar.com!
