Set Sail With Capt'n John

03:34 AM Sunday 12/23/07 |   |

John Mayer and a boatload of musical friends will be onboard Mayercraft Carrier cruise, setting sail in February.

Mayercraft Carrier is set to leave the Port of Miami on the Carnival Victory luxury ships on February 1, 2008, sail to Freeport, Bahamas, and return on February 4.

Mayer will be joined by a group of hand-picked artists including Dave Barnes, The Bomb Squad, Colbie Caillat, Brandi Carlile, Cooper, Brett Dennen, David Ryan Harris, DJ Logic, Martin Sexton, Soulive, Bob Reynolds, The RM & GW Band and Teddy Thompson.

The cruise will feature sets by Mayer and friends in nightclub-like settings, a beautiful port of call and plenty of amenities.

VH1 will be on board filming a segment of "Best Week Ever" with comedian Sherrod Small.

Reverb, the environmental organization that greened Mayer's Continuum summer tour, will also be on board to offset the cruise's environmental impact by providing conservation assistance to the tour team as well as providing information to fans about local chapters of various eco organizations.
