New York Dolls, We Are Scientists, Matt & Kim, The Black Lips, Dr. Dog and Noisettes are just a few of the names on the roster for the Village Voice's Siren Music Festival. Lavender Diamond, The Detroit Cobras, Elvis Perkins, The Twilight Sad and many others yet to be announced round out the bill.

The free all-day music event July 21 is open to all ages and will feature bands from around the world as well as DJs performing on two outdoor stages at New York's historic Coney Island.

The festival, now in its seventh year, has earned a reputation as the place to catch acts on the verge of breaking out, as well as a showcase for indie-rock veterans.

Past festivals included a number of now well known indie-acts, including Modest Mouse, Hot Hot Heat, !!!, Death Cab for Cutie, TV On The Radio, Scissor Sisters, and She Wants Revenge.
