02:27 AM Tuesday 5/9/06 | |

The lineup for the floating festival of music and conviviality known as Jam Cruise 5 has been revealed and it goes like this: Derek Trucks Band, Drive-By Truckers, Los Amigos Invisibles, Tea Leaf Green, ALO, New Mastersounds, Hot Buttered Rum Perpetual Groove, Zero (featuring Steve Kimock), Greyboy Allstars, and Deep Banana Blackout, plus returning favorites Galactic and Dirty Dozen Brass Band.

Each artist will play multiple shows during the cruise and will be accessible for autograph signings, casual interaction, and other activities including music workshops, solo musician performances, and a special Artist Jam Room.

Additional artists, including late night DJ performers, will be announced soon.

For its fifth adventure, Jam Cruise will take place on the MSCOpera. The boat will leave port from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on January 2, 2007, floating for five days and five nights with stops in the Turks and Caicos Islands and a private island, Cayo Levantado in the Dominican Republic. The official onsale begins June 1.

The ship boasts accommodations for more than 2000 passengers, which show how popular Jam Cruise has become.
