Music In The Mojave

02:41 AM Thursday 4/6/06 | |

Kinky, Particle, Thomas Mapfumo and Blacks Unlimited and more will lead three days of dancing in the desert at the Joshua Tree Music Festival this May 19-21.

The fourth annual music and camping event will also feature New Monsoon, Lotus, Kaki King, and Breakestra, with more than two dozen acts confirmed in all.

Even more entertainers will appear in the Kidsville area, a "non-stop fun-centric frivolity factory" that will include parades, face painting and a "love train" taking riders around the lake.

The festival takes place east of Los Angeles in California's Mojave Desert.

Tickets are currently available at a discount; prices will rise April 7.
