More White Stripes Dates

Once they complete a series of shows in Central and South America, The White Stripes will do a run of amphitheatre and theatre dates in the U.S. and Canada.

The North American tour commences August 6 at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash., and runs through August 31 when it wraps a three-night stand at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago.

A number of cities will see multiple shows by the band, which is support their fifth album, Get Behind Me Satan, due out June 7. The Stripes will play four consecutive nights at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

American fans have a couple of other chances to catch the band before the tour starts. The Stripes play Atlanta's Music Midtown Festival June 10 and San Diego Street Scene on July 29.

When the August tour is over, the group heads overseas for England's Glastonbury Festival and shows in Eastern Europe.
