Sounds Of The Underground

This summer, fans of metal and hardcore will be totally stoked about the Sounds of the Underground tour, which comprises such bands as Chimaira, All That Remains, Clutch, Opeth, Unearth, and special guest GWAR. The tour begins June 25 in Lowell, Mass.

The SOTU Web site, www.soundsoftheunderground.com, will announce a headliner for the tour May 2.

The tour has U.S. dates booked for June that include stops in Pennsylvania, Michigan and North Carolina.

Come July, SOTU will begin to travel farther West with a couple Canadian dates along the way. After wrapping gigs in Virginia, New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois, Oklahoma, Georgia and Florida, SOTU will make their way to Texas July 15. From there, performances are expected in Arizona, California and Washington and Colorado.

Other bands on the roster include A Life Once Lost, Devil Driver, Every Time I Die, From Autumn To Ashes, Norma Jean, High On Fire, Poison The Well, Strapping Young Lad, Terror, and Throwdown.

Tickets for the bash are in the $28 to $36 range.
