Creamfields Heads For The States

03:43 AM Monday 7/30/01 |   |

Great Britain exports the cream of the festival crop for the first ever U.S. Creamfields. Hailed as the biggest and best dance party in the U.K. since its inaugural gig in 1998, Creamfields makes its U.S. debut September 1 in New York City.

A West Coast date follows at the end of the month on the 29th. Originally, Las Vegas was going to host the Western edition, but the site has just been changed to Los Angeles.

In addition to the two U.S. shows, Creamfields will hit Buenos Aires, Dublin, and its hometown of Liverpool.

A raver's dream come true, Creamfields was spawned from the hugely popular Liverpool dance club Cream. With top DJs like Fatboy Slim, Orbital, Pete Tong, The Crystal Method, Josh Wink, Basement Jaxx, CJ Dan, Stereo MC's, and Uberzone - just to name a few of those featured at the U.S. shows - Creamfields is a one-day, dance-‘til-you-drop event.

The newbie U.S. Creamfields shows will feature several circus tent arenas in addition to the outdoor main stage.

Last year's Liverpool event attracted 50,000 fans from around the world, making Creamfields one of the biggest dance festivals on the planet.
