The Closing Bell

05:15 PM Monday 12/29/08 |   |

Time to turn off the lights, lock the doors and fire up that electric fence that keeps the riffraff at bay. But before we close up for the night we need to tell you about new dates for Cat Power, Gipsy Kings, Mudvayne and Robin Williams, and link you to items about U2’s Larry Mullen, Dave Stewart’s shiny new toy, Death Cab For Cutie frontman’s movie star fiancée, Las Vegas’ surefire economic indicator and the five worst album covers of 2008.

Link-O-Rama …

U2 drummer Larry Mullen says he’s uneasy with Bono’s relationship with war criminals.  But then, when Mullen says “war criminals,” he’s referring to former Brit prime minister Tony Blair, and soon-to-be former president George Bush – Belfast Telegraph
