Jet-Setting Jack’s Mannequin

09:01 AM Friday 2/6/09 |   |

Pop-rockers Jack’s Mannequin are making moves with the recent announcement of the group’s first world tour in support of their sophomore release "The Glass Passenger."

The band heads Down Under for a series of slots at the Soundwave Festivals and its affiliated Sidewaves shows in February before hopping across the pond for European shows in March.

After that it’s back to the U.S., where Jack’s Mannequin kicks off two months of tour dates with a performance at San Francisco’s Warfield Theatre March 30.

Other stops include Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium (April 7), Congress Theater in Chicago (April 10), The Fillmore Detroit (April 14), NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom (April 21), House of Blues in Boston (April 24), Houston’s House Of Blues (May 9), SOMA San Diego (May 22) and House Of Blues in Las Vegas (May 24).

But touring isn’t the only thing on Jack’s Mannequin’s mind these days. The group’s been prepping an exclusive digital EP for iTunes that drops March 17 and features five songs recorded live at the Apple SoHo store in New York Dec. 3.
