Scheduled To Appear – 03/31

Jimmy Fallon may not be winning his time slot in the late night television ratings war every night, but he sure is doing a great job of landing cool musical guests.

This week’s roster include Gomez, Stevie Nicks, Dr. Dog and Cold War Kids. Not too shabby for a guy who just started the gig a few weeks ago looking as nervous as a third grader at his first piano recital.

It took Letterman a couple of years to start booking really hip acts and Jay Leno even longer. Imagine the drawing power Fallon will have if his show ever really takes off.

I don't know that who is going to fill the final 2-3 minutes of a given airing really has that reaching an impact on the overall success of the show.  There have been plenty of times I've watched most of one show because of the guests and then switched at the last minute to catch the entertainment on another channel.

The Spinal Tap guys on Leno are way cooler than anyone on Fallon's show.
