Journey, Sheryl Crow, Judas Priest, Yes, Foghat, Asia, Kansas, Whitesnake, Lita Ford, Spin Doctors, Thin Lizzy and Grand Funk Railroad are among the bands and artists scheduled for this year’s Moondance Jam in Walker, Minn., July 15-18.
The Wednesday-Saturday festival announced its daily lineup, with ‘80s revivalists Hairball and local favorite Mountain Ash playing in the saloon on Wednesday before the action shifts to the festival’s main stage the following day.
And there’s plenty of action on Thursday, as Journey, Sheryl Crow, Kansas and Foghat take the stage after Midwestern band Shooting Star warms up the crowd.

Judas Priest headlines the decibel bombardment on Friday. Celebrating the 30-year anniversary of the release of its classic British Steel effort, the Priest will play the album from start-to-finish as well as a few other sonic chestnuts from its catalog. If that’s not enough for you to start thinking July in Minnesota, Whitensake, Lita Ford and The Spin Doctors are also on Thursday’s lineup, with Led Zep tribute band, Zed-Leppelin doing the warm-up honors.
You could almost say Saturday is Steve Howe day at Moondance. Yes headlines a lineup that also features Asia, Thin Lizzy and Grand Funk Railroad with all-girl AC/DC tribute band Thunderstruck starting things off on the last day of the festival. Since Howe plays lead guitar for both Yes and Asia, expect to see a lot of the prog rock pioneer at this year’s Moondance.
It's Steve Howe on one of his trademark guitar excursions at Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Denver.
