Dave Matthews Band Coming To Your TV

01:01 PM Friday 5/15/09 |   |

The Dave Matthews Band is playing an intimate show in front of millions of people on June 1. Although the invitation-only gig is at New York City’s 2,800-seat Beacon Theatre, the entire nation will have a front row seat courtesy of national music channel Fuse.

The high-def, commercial-free telecast happens the night before the band’s latest album – Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King – lands in stores. The show, presented by Madison Square Garden’s Fuse and MSG Entertainment, will benefit the DMB’s Bama Works Fund supporting charitable programs in the Charlottesville, Va., area.

There’s also more Dave Matthews Band on Fuse after the telecast with an entire week of DMB programming, including the four-part original documentary “Dave Matthews Band: The Road To Big Whiskey.”

Fuse is also serving up all the behind-the-scenes action you’ve come to expect from the only national all-music cable channel, including footage of the band’s Madison Square Garden concert on April 14 as well as coverage their hometown tour stop in Charlottesville.

“Working with MSGE and Fuse to bring this partnership to life has been a very positive experience,” said DMB manager Coran Capshaw. “With them we’ve developed several exciting ways to offer the band’s fans a really great experience.”
