Telluride’s Sweet 16

12:01 PM Friday 5/29/09 | |

Joe Cocker, Buddy Guy and Bonnie Raitt will head for the mountains this September to help the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival celebrate 16 years of, well, blues and brews.

The September 18-20 event will once again return to Telluride, Colorado’s Town Park in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

Other artists on the roster include Taj Mahal, Umphrey’s McGee, Saint Jude, Jackie Greene, Xavier Rudd, Otis Taylor’s African Orchestra, Jason Ricci & New Blood, Ruthie Foster, Super Chikan and the Fighting Cocks, Ryan Shaw, Carolyn Wonderland, The Lee Boys, JP Soars & the Red Hots, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real and Aftergrass.

Juke Joint tickets, three-day passes and camping passes are available at TellurideBlues.com, with single-day, Bal de Maison, Fais Do Do and after hours jam tickets going on sale July 1.

And since a blues and brews festival would be false advertising without the suds, fans can also take part in the Grand Tasting on September 19. The event will feature more than 150 beers, from ales to lagers and everything in between, from 56 microbreweries.

Complete details on tickets, lineup, camping and the Grand Tasting are available at TellurideBlues.com.
