The daily line up shows Disco Biscuits and Cold War Kids closing the Ranch Arena and Sherwood Court stages respectively on the first day of the festival which also includes performances by Toubab Krewe, Keller Williams, Kid Cudi and Lotus.

On Friday July 3 STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9) wraps up the action on the Ranch Arena stage while Girl Talk takes the Sherwood Court stage sometime after midnight. Other bands and artists playing Rothbury’s second day include Broken Social Scene, Femi Kuti, Martin Sexton, Brett Dennen, Soulive and G. Love & Special Sauce, plus The String Cheese Incident making its only summer appearance.

But SCI isn’t the only band making Rothbury making a single summer appearance. The Dead will play their only summer show when the group headlines the Odeum stage Saturday July 4. Other closers include Umphrey’s McGee at the Ranch Arena and STS9 making their second appearance, albeit a live PA set, on the Sherwood Court stage. Saturday festival goers will also experience The Black Crowes, Zappa Plays Zappa, Jackie Greene, Son Volt, Railroad Earth, Les Claypool and MSTRKRFT.

Rothbury’s last day features Bob Dylan on the Odeum stage, Gov’t Mule at the Ranch Arena and Ani DiFranco at Sherwood Court. Other bands and artists playing July 5 include The Hold Steady, Guster, Willie Nelson, Yonder Mountain String Band, Grace Potter And The Nocturnals, Sam Roberts Band and Matisyahu

Rothbury is also striving to be the greenest music festival on earth by committing itself to producing a near zero-waste event, and will have an on-staff “Greening Chief” who has implemented several initiatives including replacing disposables with 100 percent compostables, recycling and composting, carbon-offsetting and clean energy. Meanwhile, the Rothbury Think Tank, described as an “event within the event” will host various sessions and roundtables featuring scientists writers, scholars and corporate leaders as well as artists performing at the festival.

The festival is produced by Madison House Presents and AEG Live and has Toyota, Merrell and the Michigan State Lottery as partners. Check out Rothbury’s Web site for more information by clicking here.
