Vans Warped Tour Ventures Indoors

08:01 AM Thursday 8/13/09 | |

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of summer music festival juggernaut Vans Warped Tour, organizers are bringing the event in out of the sun.

The Vans Warped Tour 15th Anniversary Celebration Event (whew, that’s a mouthful!) is scheduled to take place Sept. 6 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles.

Helping to mark the happy occasion are The Aggrolites, All-American Rejects, Bad Religion, The Decaydance All Stars, Ice-T, Katy Perry, NOFX, Ozomatli, Pennywise, Rise Against and Underoath.

The boys in blink-182 will also make an appearance via video.

Tickets – priced at $40 for general admission, $50 for reserved balcony and $150 for VIP reserved balcony – are on sale now.

Organizers will make a donation in honor of the evening to the MusiCares Foundation, which assists members of the music community in times of need.

In case you can’t make it to Club Nokia, the entire evening will be captured on film so it can be shown in high-def surround sound at more than 460 movie theatres on Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. EST. The one-night-only movie theatre event will also include behind-the-scenes footage.

Tickets for the movie theatre event are available at participating theatre box offices and online at FathomEvents.com.
