Country Honors Vets

02:01 PM Tuesday 9/1/09 | |

Montgomery Gentry, Lee Ann Womack and Phil Vassar have been tapped to headline the 6th annual American Freedom Festival.

The Nov. 7 event, which will take place at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., is a benefit for the American Freedom Foundation.

The AFF was created to “honor veterans of America’s armed forces and raise money and awareness for various veterans’ organizations with special emphasis directed to welfare and educational issues facing those wounded in action, disabled vets, and families of veterans killed in action during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.”

The show will be beamed to more than 350 military bases in more the 170 countries via the Pentagon Channel.

Tickets for the evening range from $34.50 to $99 with a special military ticket priced at $25.

Tickets for the general public go on sale Sept. 5. Military tickets will be available through regional ITR/ITT offices.

Visit American Freedom Foundation.org for complete details on the show and info on the foundation.
