Scheduled To Appear – 09/29

04:04 PM Tuesday 9/29/09 | |

“Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts is going country. For one night anyway.

Roberts, who is a breast cancer survivor, will appear Friday evening in Nashville as guest announcer at the first of a pair of special Grand Ole Opry shows promoting research into a cure for breast cancer.

The two shows (at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. CDT) will feature performances from a number of female artists including Terri Clark, Jo Dee Messina, Lorrie Morgan and Carrie Underwood, who will flip a switch at the beginning of each show and turn the Opry’s signature barn backdrop pink.

Roberts will also introduce Greater Nashville Affiliate Susan G. Komen for the Cure 2009 Honorary Survivor of the Year Tracie Shelby to the Opry audience.
