If for some reason Jake Owen’s career as a country singer doesn’t work out, it looks like he’ll have something to fall back on.

Owen, who hosted ABC.com’s “Nashville Nights” special during the CMA Festival earlier this year, will step into the emcee spot again next month as the website leads up to the Nov. 11 CMA Awards.

“The Countdown to Country Music’s Biggest Night” is a daily webisode that will be available at ABC.com from Nov. 4-12.

During the five-minute show, Owen will take fans behind the scenes of the events leading up to the CMA Awards.

Of course the singer will be pulling double duty during the awards telecast, since he’ll also be sitting in the audience waiting to see if his name is called in the “New Artist of the Year” category.
