City & Colour Preps January Run

05:01 PM Monday 10/26/09 |   |

City And Colour, Alexisonfire guitarist / singer Dallas Green’s solo project, is getting ready for another tour almost one year to the date of the group’s last headline outing.

The last time City & Colour headlined a U.S. tour was during January of this year, which resulted in sold-out dates and standing-room-only crowds. The acoustic / folk group will tour January 2010, playing a short list of dates from coast to coast.

The group is touring in support of their 2008 album Bring Me Your Love, selected by iTunes as one of the great albums of 2008. The folks at MySpace Music must have also liked it. They included the release in their “50 Albums You Should Know In 2008.”

The fun starts Jan. 7 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. New York City’s next with a gig Jan. 8 at Webster Hall. On Jan. 10 the band rolls through Somerville, Mass., and a show at the Somerville Theatre and on Jan. 11 the city is Orlando, Fla., and the venue is the Plaza Theatre.

Other stops include Chicago at the Metro Jan. 15; Detroit at the Fillmore Jan. 16; Austin at the Central Church Jan. 21; San Francisco at the Fillmore Jan. 22 and Los Angeles at the Music Box @ The Fonda Jan. 23.

A members-only presale begins Oct. 27 through the band’s mailing list. Buyers of the first 30 tickets sold for each date will be offered a meet-and-greet with Green. For more information, please click here for the City & Colour Web site.
