08:01 AM Wednesday 11/25/09 | |

The worlds of music and skin art will collide early next year, as The Cult, The Damned, Buzzcocks and other bands come together with some of the top tattoo artists from around the world at Musink.

Organizers of the event, now in its third year, have planned two three-day tattoo convention/music festivals for 2010, with the first taking place Feb. 19-21 at the Orange County Fair & Exposition Center in Costa Mesa, Calif., and the second April 9-11 at Fair Park in Dallas.

Confirmed acts on tap for the Orange County festival include The Cult,The Damned, Buzzcocks, Face to Face and The Head Cat (featuring Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister and Stray CatsSlim Jim Phantom).

The lineup so far for Dallas features Old 97’s, Shooter Jennings, Lucero and Roger Alan Wade.

Additional artists will be announced for both cities in the coming weeks.

Tickets are priced at $30 for Orange County and $25 for Dallas at Musink.org.

Besides killer music, both events will feature tattoo contests, seminars, fine art exhibits, pro skateboard and BMX contests, lifestyle vendors, an outdoor daytime side stage, a motorcycle show and other activities.

Pro skaters set to be on hand for O.C. include Original Z-Boy, Tony Alva, Christian Hosoi, Steve Olsen, Eric Cresden and Duane Peters.

The tattoo artist lineup for both cities features some of the most relevant and respected tattooists from North America and beyond, with more than 300 confirmed for O.C. and more than 200 for Dallas.

Will The Cult be playing all three days at Musink or only on Friday, February 19th, 2010?
