Setzer Collapses In Albuquerque

09:01 AM Tuesday 12/15/09 |   |

Brian Setzer collapsed last night after walking off the stage shortly after beginning his show at Albuquerque’s Isleta Casino.

According to Albuquerque television station KOB, Setzer appeared “shakey” as he left the stage.

TMZ reports Setzer was rushed to Heart Hospital of New Mexico but has since been discharged. The entertainment gossip site also says Setzer is still scheduled to play Phoenix tonight. However, that may be speculation if only because the date is still listed on Setzer’s Web site, although there is no mention of last night’s collapse.

The Stray Cat member is currently on his annual Christmas tour with the Brian Setzer Orchestra.

I was at the show, he was about 15 minutes into the set when he got members of his band doing inpromptu solo's which obviously took them by surprise. Then he sat on the floor smiling which we thought was a part of the show but in hindsight...

...then he staggered offstage looking very uncomfortable and about to pass out shouting "What a band"! Very disturbing to see.

    All the best to Brian.
