Although the annual event hasn’t announced bands, it has released dates, location and, most important of all, ticket info.
As in years past the fifth annual Pitchfork Music Festival takes place in Chicago, playing the Windy City’s Union Park July 16-18.
Pitchfork’s first announcement of the year arrives sans lineup, choosing instead to highlight past bookings, such as Vampire Weekend, Girl Talk, The Flaming Lips, Spoon, Dinosaur Jr. and Yoko Ono.
Attracting 50,000 music fans each year, Pitchfork promises more than just music and will also feature up to 50 individual vendors and specialty fairs as it promotes the Chicago arts community.
Pitchfork will release the first round of band announcements tomorrow – the same day tickets go on sale. Single-day tix are priced at $40 while three-day passes sell for $90. For more information, click here for the festival’s Web site.
