One of the biggest hits (and hottest albums) of the past year has been the rock supergroup Chickenfoot. If anyone thought four rock legends – Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Chad Smith and Joe Satriani – would have a hard time cutting it among the youngsters in the biz, the quartet has proved them wrong again and again.

Of course, the guys aren’t above poking fun at themselves as is evident in their upcoming DVD release, “Chickenfoot: Get Your Buzz On ‘Live,’” which hits the streets May 4.

Fans will be able to celebrate the DVD by watching it in all of its glory on the big screen at a series of virtual concert screenings at select theatres nationwide before its release date, as well as with a live concert webcast from Cabo San Lucas on April 24 at BestBuy.com.

The material on the disc was filmed over the course of three sold-out shows and also includes an offbeat bonus documentary “jam-packed with exclusive, never-before-seen backstage footage, rare interviews and extra performance video.” The twist here is all of the bonus stuff is conducted – “or misconducted” – by the members of the band themselves.
