Silversun Pickups Headlining Dates

01:01 PM Monday 4/19/10 |   |

Silversun Pickups fans get ready to swoon because we’ve got brand new tour dates to talk about. After supporting Placebo’s winter European tour and Muse’s North American spring trek, the alternative rock band is hitting the road in June for its own headlining tour.

The Los Angeles-based group wrapped up its tour with Muse last week with an April 14 gig at Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif.

The performance earned kudos from the San Jose Mercury News, which wrote, “As good as the band is on record, however, the group showed in Oakland that it can achieve even greater heights on the live stage. That’s the setting where the Pickups’ brand of jammed-out alt-rock, which recalls the Smashing Pumpkins, Neil Young’s Crazy Horse and My Bloody Valentine, truly shines.”

Las Vegas. West Coast dates. MORE PLEASE! What disappointment we suffered when on the Mandalay Bay show opening for Muse there was no "Kissing Families". SSPU deserves their own tour, period.
