A Slightly Stoopid Headlining Tour

10:01 AM Wednesday 4/21/10 |   |

Slightly Stoopid reveals its summer tour plans, saying it will venture forth into those lazy, crazy days with Cypress Hill beginning July 16 in Southern California.

Of course, touring with Cypress Hill means there will be some kind of social/politico message for the multitudes, in this case pretty much spelled out in the tour’s title – “Cauzin Vapors… Legalize it.”

But before hooking up with Cypress Hill, Slightly Stoopid will play a few shows with Steel Pulse and The Expendables in June, including Jacksonville, Ore, at the Britt Pavilion June 18 and Missoula, Mont., at Ryan Creek Meadows June 22.

The first gig with Cypress Hill is in Irvine, Calif., at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre July 16, followed by Chula Vista at Cricket Pavilion July 17 before crossing the continent for a show in Glen Allen, Va., at Innsbrook Pavilion July 21.

Other stops include two shows in Boston at Bank Of America Pavilion July 22-23; Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing July 31; Detroit at State Theatre Aug. 4; Omaha at Anchor Inn Aug. 13 and Atlanta at The Tabernacle Aug. 19, before wrapping in West Boca Raton, Fla., at Sunset Cove Amphitheatre Aug. 21.

Slightly Stoopid and Cypress Hill will also hit a few festivals, playing Lollapalooza in Chicago Aug. 7 and the Mile High Music Festival in Commerce City, Co., Aug. 14.

Collie Buddz joins the tour beginning July 21. For more information, click here for the Slightly Stoopid website and here for the band’s MySpace home.
