Ever wonder what might happen if you turned a really creative musician loose in a studio full of really cool instruments they may not have had access to before? Wonder no longer.

“Live at Moog,” which debuts tonight at 7 p.m., is a new web video series featuring performances filmed at the Wonka candy factory of electronic gear, Asheville, N.C.’s Moog Music factory.

The first artist turned loose in the candy store is none other than Amanda Palmer, who said about the experience, “The Moog factory was incredible … [they] made us feel incredibly welcome and let us run around like geeks.”

Among the instruments manufactured at Moog are analog synthesizers, effects pedals, the Theremin and the groundbreaking Moog Guitar.

Artists featured in upcoming episodes, which include multiple songs, behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive info, are RJD2, Umphrey’s McGee, Joseph Arthur, Cage the Elephant, Evan Dando and Rogue Wave.
