Keane U.S. Headlining Dates

08:01 AM Wednesday 5/12/10 |   |

Keane is making the trek across the Atlantic this summer for a U.S. headlining tour in support of the U.K. rock band latest release, "Night Train."

Night Train, which was released this week, features eight tracks written and recorded while the band was touring the world – including stops in 28 countries – in support of 2008’s Perfect Symmetry.

The EP features collaborations with Somali/Canadian rapper K’Naan and Japanese funk singer Tigarah.

Rolling Stone raved that thanks to the album’s “brass-bolstered soul” and “electro-flavored dance pop … Keane have proved themselves masters of pop perkiness.”

The trio’s U.S. headlining tour kicks off July 20 at the Fox Theatre in Oakland, Calif., and wraps up Aug. 11 at First Avenue in Minneapolis.

Additional shows include Greek Theatre in Los Angeles (July 21), House of Blues in Las Vegas (July 23), Warehouse Live in Houston (July 25), Chicago Theatre (July 28), Bank Of America Pavilion in Boston (Aug. 3) and Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee (Aug. 10).

Travis frontman Fran Healy and Ingrid Michaelson have both been booked as opening acts.

Pre-sale tickets are on sale now through May 13 and can be purchased by using the password PLATFORM. Tickets go on sale to the general public May 14.
Before heading back to the U.K., on Aug. 14 the band plays the Mile High Music Festival at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo.
