P-Furs To ‘Talk Talk Talk’

11:01 AM Thursday 5/20/10 | |

The Psychedelic Furs do the album thing as the Brit band announces a few U.K. dates to perform “Talk Talk Talk” from start-to-finish.

Recorded in only 21 days, 1981’s Talk Talk Talk was released five years before film director John Hughes lifted a song’s title from the album for the name of his 1986 flick, “Pretty In Pink.” Other tracks included “Dumb Waiters, “She Is Mine” and “Mr. Jones.”

The tour begins in Frome, England, at the Cheese & Grain Oct. 24. Other stops are Manchester at the Ritz Oct. 26; Birmingham at The Institute Oct. 27; London at the HMV Forum Oct. 28 and Glasgow at the ABC1 Oct. 29.

The London date was originally scheduled for Nov. 9. All tickets purchased for that date will be honored at the Oct. 28 gig.

Tickets went on sale today with the exception of Glasgow which goes up tomorrow. For more info, click here for the Psychedelic Furs website.
