Over the past 35 years, fans have gotten the opportunity to watch many of their favorite artists heat up the “Austin City Limits” stage. But did you know many of those same performers can also “cook” when it comes to the kitchen?

Last November, as “ACL” celebrated becoming the longest running popular music series in U.S. TV history, one of its behind the scenes players, head makeup artist Glenda Facemire, quietly made her own contribution to the show’s legacy.

Facemire, who needless to say gets lots of face time (sorry!) with acts appearing on the show, compiled the favorite recipes of 130 artists who’ve graced the “ACL” stage. The result, “Music In The Kitchen,”features everything from Willie Nelson’s “Willie’s Tequila-Mango Salsa” to My Morning Jacket’s “Quinoa Eggs with Cheese, Please!”

Each recipe is introduced by a brief bio of each artist written by Facemire and features anecdotes from the artists themselves about the dish they contributed to the book, along with photos that can’t be found anywhere else.
