This year fans get a double shot of Chris Isaak in the form of a world tour in the present and a live album featuring a show from the past.

Isaak, who is currently touring Europe and hits the States in July, releases a live album June 15. Featuring state-of-the-art sound and production, Chris Isaak Live At The Fillmore features the laid back rocker performing at the famous San Francisco venue in 2008.

Of course, nothing beats seeing the artist live. As his Euro run progresses, Isaak plays Oslo at Rockefeller Music Hall tonight; Malmo, Sweden, at Kulturbolaget June 3; Gothenburg, Sweden, at Tradgaarn June 5 and Copenhagen at Amager Bio June 6. Other European stops include London (June 10), Paris (June 19), Zurich (June 21) and Madrid (June 29). Isaak’s last Euro date is July 5 at the Cool Jazz Fest in Cascals, Portugal.

Isaak kicks off his North America tour in Vienna, Va., at Filene Center At Wolf Trap July 12. Other locations include Boston at Bank Of America Pavilion July 17; Atlanta at Chastain Park Amphitheatre July 24; Saint Paul at The O’Shaughnessy Aug. 4; Boise at Idaho Botanical Garden Aug. 11; Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre Aug. 24 and Healdsburg, Calif., at Rodney Strong Winery Aug. 29. Last date on Isaak’s “to do” list is Sept. 23 in Phoenix at Celebrity Theatre.

“The one thing I always hear from my fans when we visit after my live shows is, ‘Why don’t you do a live record?’” Isaak said. “So folks, here it is. And when you get sick of listening to me live in your living room, come on down and see me and the boys in concert.”
