Imagine if you will this conversation: “Hey Rich, looks like we need another player.” “Okay Drew. Lonestar, come on down! You’re the next contestant on ‘The Price is Right’!”

Okay, so an entire band can’t really be a contestant on TPIR. But they can sit in as the house band and that’s exactly what the country quintet will do when they drop by to pay a visit to Drew Carey and company on June 16.

In addition to playing live throughout the show, Lonestar will feature in a showcase at the end of the program. The prize package will include a new car, a trip to San Diego and tickets to one of the band’s concerts, as well as a selection of Lonestar merch.

Lonestar’s guest spot on TPIR will air on CBS beginning at 11 a.m. EDT/10 a.m. PDT.

Here’s an interesting factoid: Did you know that “The Price is Right” was originally broadcast from 1956-1965 with host Bill Cullen of “To Tell The Truth” fame? Today’s version first aired in 1972 with host Bob Barker. More than 7,000 episodes later, TPIR now holds the record for longest-running game show in U.S. history.
