Three days in Chicago featuring more than 35 bands for only $35 per day? What’s not to like?
The inaugural North Coast Music Festival takes place in Chicago’s Union Park Sept. 3-5. Featuring artists from various genres including jamband, electronic, indie, hip-hop and house, North Coast’s first time out of the gate includes performances by The Chemical Brothers, Nas & Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Umphrey’s McGee, Disco Biscuits, Paul Van Dyk, Benny Benassi, Pretty Lights, Cold War Kids, De La Soul and Jakob Dylan & Three Legs plus many more.
What really caught our attention was the aforementioned $35 per day price tag, a downright bargain when you shop and compare summer festivals. However, that’s the price for single-day tickets going on sale June 14. A limited number of three-day tickets are available now through June 13 for only $65 – a $40 savings.
The North Coast Music Festival is presented by several Chicago-based entertainment companies and organizations, including React Presents, Congress Theater, Silver Wrapper, Metronome Chicago, Kingtello and Cold Grums. A portion of all ticket sales will go to support Chicago nonprofit organization Urban Initiatives, which runs a health and education soccer program in fourteen Chicago Public Schools.
