Go-Go’s Gone Gone

An injury occurred while hiking has forced the Go-Go’s to cancel their farewell tour scheduled to begin in July.

A couple of weeks ago Jane Wiedlin suffered injuries after falling 20 feet while hiking near her Northern California home. The Go-Go’s guitarist is scheduled for ACL replacement surgery on her knee in the coming weeks and is expected to need up to a year for recovery.

The “Happily Ever After” tour, which was scheduled to begin with a Lilith Fair appearance in San Diego July 7, was to be the band’s swan song. At this time there is no word as to whether the band will attempt another farewell outing in the future.

Ticketholders can obtain refunds at point of purchase.

I believe this is the most successful all girl act ever.

They write, sing and play. They were scheduled to play after a Rays game in July. Oh well.
