Rebooting ‘The Last Rodeo’

10:01 AM Thursday 7/1/10 | |

When we last joined the country team of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, the farewell tour known as “The Last Rodeo” had hit an unexpected snag when a doctor ordered Dunn to get immediate vocal rest, causing several dates to be postponed. But that was last week.

This week, most of the missed dates have been rescheduled, with only a few festival appearances, like Milwaukee’s Summerfest, being truly canceled. Plus, there are a few new listings and notes regarding which tour stops will include appearances by Gary Allan, Sara Evans, Miranda Lambert and Merle Haggard.

The “Brooks & Dunn Last Rodeo Tour” gets back into action July 16 near Indianapolis at the Verizon Wireless Music Center. If you’re holding tickets for postponed June shows, you really need to see the revised schedule to see when B&D are bringing the fun to your town. Just click here.

Now let’s sort out the guest appearances. Gary Allan joins the tour beginning July 16 and running through Aug. 8. That is, except for July 23 in Minot, N.D., and July 24 in Cheyenne, Wyo. Sara Evans appears Aug. 13-15, Miranda Lambert Aug. 20-22 and Merle Haggard appears Aug. 26-29.

New dates are Aug. 20 in Oklahoma City, Aug. 21 in Little Rock and Aug. 28 in Holmdel, N.J. Tickets for Oklahoma City and Little Rock go on sale July 17 and Holmdel July 24. This completes your “Last Rodeo” update for today.
